Signs of Tooth Infection

Left untreated, a tooth infection can lead to gum disease and may require an extraction by a dentist. In extreme cases, tooth infections have the potential to be life-threatening as the bacteria can spread throughout the body. 

Symptoms of tooth infection include:

  • Sensitivity to hot and cold food and drink
  • Swollen gums
  • Jaw pain

Although it may initially seem simply annoying an infected tooth can quickly turn into a much more serious problem and negatively impact on the teeth, gums and jaw. I have two children, who keep me busy when I am not at the practice. I take a keen interest in and teach Aikido, a martial art, to keep a healthy mind and body.
