Children should visit the dentist after their first teeth appear. However, this can represent an entirely new and sometimes stressful experience. How can parents place their young ones at ease?
– Explain to them what to expect during their visit.
– Visit the office in advance so that your child is familiar with the environment.
– Remain calm during the appointment, as the child will likely mimic this behaviour.
“Being a positive role model for your child when it comes to visiting the dentist might just be your greatest asset to making this visit go well.”
