As anyone who has ever worn dental braces can attest, it is not easy to thoroughly clean beneath and around the wires and brackets. The dentist can advise on the best way to brush and floss while wearing braces and probably suggest using:
– A soft-bristled brush to avoid damaging tooth enamel
– An interdental cleaner to brush under and around the brace wires and brackets
– Waxed dental floss to make flossing smoother and easier
Wearing braces makes “brushing and flossing a little more challenging” but the effort is worth it and will help avoid dental issues later. A detailed article on cleaning teeth while wearing braces can be read at https://yourdentalhealthresource.com/how-should-i-brush-my-teeth-when-i-have-braces/
