Are There Dental “Roots” to Autism?
While a dentist will make certain that all baby teeth are healthy, this professional is unable to detect the cognitive condition known as autism. However, hope may be on the horizon. Studies have found an interesting correlation.
– All baby teeth contain lays of minerals like copper and zinc within their enamel.
– How these substances were metabolised during gestation can likewise be seen.
– The levels of zinc and copper in baby teeth could represent a precursor to autism.
“A close examination of baby teeth is giving new insight into the roots of autism.”
