Always see your dentist about bleeding gums
It is important that you schedule a visit to your dentist if you see blood after brushing your teeth, as this can be a sign of gum disease
– Gum disease can result in receding gums, dental sensitivity, infection and subsequent tooth loss
– Bleeding gums need to be investigated as soon as possible
– Your dentist can treat gum disease with root planing and scaling and provide advice on regular oral care
“Regular dental visits can also ensure your gum disease hasn’t returned and that you’re doing a proper job with brushing and flossing.”
